A reliable partner

1958 is marked by the Brussels World Fair. That same year, Aldo Vastapane, founder of Belgian Sky Shops, opens the very first “tax-free” shop at Brussels Airport. In those days, there were only a few hundreds of tax-free articles on the shelves, mostly perfumes, alcohol and tobacco.

Today, Belgian Sky Shops operates around thirty boutiques at Brussels Airport and, since 2002, Charleroi’s only tax-free shop. Our range of products has considerably broadened and now boasts countless perfumes, cosmetics, fashion, accessories, sunglasses, spirits, champagne, wines, tobaccos, chocolates, jewels, watches, toys and fine food items.

Prestigious brands have joined forces with us and are now part of the Belgian Sky Shops’ assortment, including Chanel, Dior, Boss, Hermès, Burberry, Lancel, Longchamp, Mont Blanc, Chopard, Breitling, Ray-Ban, Tom Ford, and last but not least Cheval Blanc, Corné Port-Royal, Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Veuve Clicquot, Neuhaus, Godiva, Fauchon...

Belgian Sky Shops is constantly on the lookout for new opportunities to serve its customers better. Our objective remains unchanged: we want to open new shops, expand our product range and introduce new, exclusive brands.

Over 400 highly qualified employees are at your service, providing you an optimal service and sound advice.

Belgian Sky Shops is a fully owned subsidiary of the Compagnie Nationale à Portefeuille (CNP), Albert Frère’s Belgian holding.

Some impressive volumes…

Hands down, chocolate beats every record with 600 tons sold per year – the equivalent of one kilo per minute! – and Belgian Sky Shops is very proud to boast the title of world greatest chocolate retailer. If we were to line up all the chocolate boxes we sell, we could link Brussels to Venice!

The figures for other product categories are also impressive with 670.000 litres of alcohol and 625.000 bottles of perfumes sold each year, accounting for many bargains and lovely presents!

… at attractive prices!

At Belgian Sky Shops, you will enjoy all-year-round attractive prices on quality items and renowned brands. Despite the 1999 abolition of tax-free, you can still enjoy tax-free prices on most items sold, with reductions of up to 21% VAT, even if you are travelling within the European Union.
